Trail Services

NWWS, Inc. provides quality trail construction, maintenance, and design services to all types of clients nationwide:

  • Federal, state, and local governments
  • Private landowners
  • Developers
  • Land trusts
  • Non-profits and non-government organizations

We specialize in naturalistic trails surfaced with native soil, crushed stone, and woodchips. Trails can be for any type of use including hiking, equestrian, mountain bicycling, wheelchairs/ADA, off-highway motorcycles, and ATVs (see our Trail Portfolio).

We perform any combination of design, construction, maintenance, reconstruction, and obliteration of trails as narrow as 18 inches wide. We offer design-build services that can save you both time and expense. We also build trail structures such as bridges and boardwalks.

To optimize performance and keep your costs down, we primarily use narrow, lightweight, nimble, trail-scaled mechanized equipment. Our skilled operators expertly craft trails that look hand-built but do it with a fraction of the time, effort and cost of traditional hand-built construction.

We pride ourselves on quality trail work. To produce the best trails, we offer to work in close collaboration with you, your staff, other partners, and even volunteers. If you choose to take advantage of it, we offer consulting to help you develop or optimize your trail plans before construction in order to improve the finished trails, make them more efficient to build, and even reduce your construction and maintenance costs.

To provide cost estimates, we meet with you and visit your site. And, since you may be unfamiliar with trail contracts, we can help you develop one for your project.
